Search any item and see what it really sold for, including the accepted amount on negotiated sales, which eBay does not show on its own sold page. Two lookups a day with no account.
Search an item above to see its completed eBay sales, what each one actually sold for, and which of them were negotiated down from the asking price.
Each row is a completed sale, not an active listing and not an asking price. Sold for is the amount the buyer actually paid. Where a sale closed through an accepted Best Offer, the Best Offer column says yes and the price shown is the negotiated figure, which is the number eBay keeps off its own public sold page.
The free lookup covers the last 90 days and shows the first dozen sales. A free account lifts that to three years of history and 100 searches a month.
If you check the same item through eBay's sold filter you may well see higher prices, and the reason is not that one of us is wrong. When a listing sells through an accepted Best Offer, eBay's public sold page displays the asking price, because the negotiated amount is not published there at all.
We hold both numbers, so we measured the difference across 5,859 matched sales. The public page read high 99.0% of the time, by a median of 14.9%, and one sale in ten was overstated by more than 40%. Sneakers ran 20.0% at the median, jewellery 17.6%, designer handbags 17.5%. The full study has every category.
The error only runs one way, since an offer is almost never accepted above the asking price. So pricing from what eBay displays leaves you above the market, and nothing in the data tells you by how much.
Sold data is keyword matched against how sellers titled the item, so the title is what you are really searching. A few things that help:
3570.50 finds more than omega moonwatch black dial.iphone 15 -case -box -screen.charizard base set psa 9 is a different market from charizard base set, and mixing them makes the median meaningless. This page is for checking one thing. For a shelf of stock, a repricer or a database, the same data comes back as JSON, up to 240 sales per request and up to 1,095 days of history:
curl -G https://api.compsapi.com/v1/sold \

Free keys are self serve and need no card. If you would rather stay in a spreadsheet, the Google Sheets template pulls the same data into cells.
Two lookups per day per visitor, because each one is a real search rather than a cached page. eBay US is the primary marketplace with matching sales from other eBay sites merged in. Sold prices exclude shipping, which is carried separately on each row through the API. And this is eBay only: it says nothing about what the same item fetches on Mercari, Vinted or at auction.
