Estate pricing, dealer stock and insurance valuations all rest on the same question: what did one of these actually fetch. This answers it from real eBay sales, three years deep.
Antiques are negotiated more than almost anything else on eBay, which makes this the worst category to price from a public sold page. When a sale closes through an accepted Best Offer, that page shows the asking price, not the amount the buyer paid. Across 5,859 matched sales we measured the public figure running high 99.0% of the time by a median of 14.9%, and jewellery at 17.6%. Every row we return carries the accepted price and a best_offer flag. The study.
Verified 12 October 2026, three year window, completed sales returned on the first page alone:
| Search | Completed sales |
|---|---|
Roseville pottery vase | 199 |
Fenton hobnail milk glass | 199 |
Pyrex Gooseberry casserole | 198 |
Griswold cast iron skillet 8 | 199 |
Each of those is a market that turns over constantly, which is exactly why a three year window is useful: you can see whether brown furniture is still sliding, whether a pattern has been rediscovered, and what condition is worth.

A genuinely rare one off, the kind of piece that trades at auction once a decade, may simply never have sold on eBay. For that you want auction house records. We cover what moves on eBay, which is most of the trade but not all of it.
Sold data is matched against how sellers titled the item, so use their words. Maker and pattern beat description: Roseville Pinecone 745 finds more than green art pottery vase. Cut accessories with a minus word. And keep searches short, because every extra word is another thing the seller had to have typed.
