Marketplaces, filters and live limit headers

  • site parameter: pin one eBay marketplace with UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, CA or AU. The default stays US with international coverage merged in.
  • category parameter: filter by eBay category id, for example 31387 for wristwatches.
  • min_price and max_price: keep only sales inside a price range.
  • Every response on a console key now carries X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-Quota-Monthly and X-Quota-Used, and 429s carry Retry-After.
  • The MCP server at api.compsapi.com/mcp gained the same new filters plus paging.
  • New status page and this changelog.

Self serve console, billing and MCP

  • app.compsapi.com: sign up with Google or email, instant free API key, usage dashboard, key rotation, playground and support tickets.
  • Stripe billing with monthly and annual plans; quotas moved to a monthly, per account model.
  • MCP server launched: point any MCP client at api.compsapi.com/mcp with your key and ask for comps in plain language.
  • Docs rebuilt with the full parameter reference, per plan limits and error tables.

CompsAPI launches

  • GET /v1/sold: real eBay sold listings with up to 3 years of history, newest first, paginated.
  • GET /v1/comps: one call pricing with junk filtering and price statistics.
  • Real accepted Best Offer prices with best_offer=1, not crossed out asking prices.
  • Trading card options: grader, grade, language, first edition, junk exclusion.
